![]() Hopefully someone other than just me finds this useful!ĮDIT: I did try to do a search to see if anybody's mentioned this before, but searching the forums broke the site. This is great since iTunes doesn't allow you to Airplay non-downloaded video podcasts, so if I don't want to wait for a download, I can just stream straight off the site here. Click that and BAM, you have Giant Bomb on your TV via Airplay. Now, all you need to do is load up a video in the HTML5 player, right click on the video and there will be a new option "Send via Airplay" in the contextual menu. All this to say it might just work without you touching a thing, so try that first. If the name fails, you can just put in the local IP of the Apple TV. So if your name was "Giant Bomb Stream Machine", the name would be giant-bomb-stream-machine.local. ![]() Open Safaris bookmarks, tap on edit, and edit the new bookmark. To do this, do the following: Copy this bit of code: javascript:location.href'googlechrome'+ (4). local name will simply be the name, all in lowercase, with dashes instead of spaces. But you can create a bookmarklet for Safari to open the current page in Chrome. If it doesn't, double check the name for your Apple TV (under Settings → General → Name). It defaults to apple-tv.local which should work most of the time. In the extension properties you need to set where it can find your Apple TV. So pretty much if you're running a modern Mac with an ATV 2 or 3, you're set to go.įirst you just need to install this extension (made by the ClickToPlugin/ClickToFlash folk). ![]() ![]() Under the Reset section, click on Reset Settings. First, open Chrome and click on the three dots in the top right corner. You're using Safari 6 or later and have an Apple TV running firmware version 4.3 or later. This process is simple and only takes a few minutes. It showed me HTML Press J to jump to the feed. ClickToPlugin uses a custom interface for its preferences. You're an awesome duder with a subscription to Giant Bomb so you can get the totally rad HTML5 player. I recently switched from Safari to Chrome and I really like it, but there's one thing I really miss: the ClickToPlugin extension.I found out a very nice, easy little way to send videos to my Apple TV through a simple Safari extension. ![]()
